Analogy is making two objects which have no connection between to explain something about. There are 2 types of analogy:
-Metaphor. Which 2 different things are linked by some similarity. Comparison that are obvious not consider as a metaphor. Different ideas are connect in an imaginative way. Not using as/like. For example: Love is a present, you will never know what is inside.
-Simile. Using as/like. Example: Life is like a candle, it will ended in one day.

Categories of analogies:
- Logical analogy. Use similarities in design, function or structure to connect back to the object. Example comparison of the whale and submarine, where both can dive to great depth but still need surface for air.

-Affective analogy. Emotional resemblance. Most frequently used in conversation to emphasis certain points. For example: He is like a pig (because he is lazy).
